What an awesome night it was!!
12 months ago, I decided that one of my goals would be to improve on my communication and public speaking skills that I had worked on since my time at Henley Business School.
As a physician, I realised we never got taught about “soft” yet essential skills of communication and Storytelling- all of which are now vital if you want to engage and inspire an audience ( leaders/managers/C suite/ peers and patients) to change attitudes, lifestyles and behaviours. So began my learning journey!
So when it came to putting myself forward for The Speaker Awards , I was just chuffed that I got shortlisted as a finalist in 2 of the categories.
The night ended with getting
🔆highly commended⚡️ certificates in the categories of
1️⃣ Best 🆕️Newcomer of the Year 2024 and
2️⃣ Positive impact and sustainability 2024.
Hats off to Elliot Kay and the wonderful team of Simone and Lovela Vincenzi and Joe Gregory and Lucy McCarraher for an absolute 💯 👌 awesome evening.
It was rewarding to connect and gain insights and network with an array of exceptional speakers from so many industries supporting each other and creating a much needed community for advice and coaching. Ben Hanlin Maria Franzoni Allister Frost Christine Michaelis
Thanks to Robert Cao for creating my media and mentorship all through.
