Dr Deepak Ravindran is the clinical lead for the department of pain medicine at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading UK. His areas of expertise include management of opioids, treatment of neck and back pain, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), and cancer pain.
Dr Deepak Ravindran is part of the award-winning Integrated Pain and Spinal Service (IPASS) service in 2016 and also the Multidisciplinary Circle Fibromyalgia Clinic. He practices an upstream and trauma-informed approach to managing pain, in a holistic manner. Alongside predcribing medication for pain, Dr. Ravindran also performs a variety of injections and nerve blocks guided by X-ray and ultrasound.
He is physician researcher with the University of Reading, working with a number of departments and sharing knowledge with our next generation of passionate academics. In addition to being a sought-after speaker, he is also an author of the Amazon Bestseller, ‘The Pain-Free Mindset – 7 Steps to Taking Control and Overcoming Chronic Pain’ published by Vermillion, an imprint of Penguin published in March 2021.
